Project Life Tuesday – 30 Lists Mini Album 1-15

Now that you’re back, I thought I would use this Project Life Tuesday to show you a fun project I’m working on with cards from the Turquoise Edition of Project Life. In order to gear myself up for 30 Days of Lists (it starts next week! I’m so excited!) I decided to do a mini album of all the prompts from the March 2011 challenge, which are available to everyone for free. You can also purchase more recent list workshops, individually or in a bundle. I plan to purchase all of them, eventually.

When I started, I knew I wanted to use the Turquoise kit, because I had a bunch of coordinating supplies in my stash already(Notice my ganky wrong-tone green bookring. Please excuse it. I haven’t gotten around to purchasing actual metal book rings yet, and I salvaged a gigantic package of these from my husband’s ‘to toss’ stuff at work. So, they’re what I’ve got), and because I wanted this one to be visually different next to my September list album. I have a bunch of 3×4 cards left over from a trade that I did earlier this year, so I decided to use that as my base. Added bonus: It keeps my lists from getting crazy long. 😉 I picked my cover card, added the washi tape, stitched around the word “notes”, and then inked a couple of green thickers and stuck them in place.

The back of the card looked all weird, with the stitching actually covering up part of the area I wanted to write on, so I glued another card down to the back of the cover (with the same reverse-side journaling design), and used my tiny attacher to staple the cards together on both sides of the stitching.

For the back side of the card, I journaled a little explanation of the 30 Lists concept, and decorated with some washi tape, mini letter stickers, and a wood veneer.

It says: “30 days of lists is a challenge designed to get you writing a little bit each day. Just a short list based on a daily prompt, 30 in all. These prompts were issued in March 2011. This album was finished in _____________.”

I assume I’ll be able to say August 2013, but I don’t want to jump the gun.

From this point on, I’m only decorating the fronts of the cards.

I want to note that these goals are listed in order of timetable, the one I want to accomplish first, the long-term goal last.

WPS is a private Harry Potter role playing forum that I co-admin with a friend of mine. We each have a ton of characters and sometimes take months-long posting hiatuses, but always come back and play. WPS will be 5 years old next month. :’)

Notice how I went back to single digits after 10? The number stickers I’m using don’t have enough of each number to write out all the tens and twenties correctly, so I decided to count cards like I’m crocheting. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 20… etc.

    I love how you used your extra cards and you did a fabulous job of embellishing them and making they special. I especially love the stitching. I did 30 Lists last time around, because it was my birthday month and I wanted an extra cool project. It was fun!
